Back To School...Just A Little Later Than Usual.

In the past few weeks, a growing number of students across the country have returned to their classrooms. Some of them, for the very first time since last March. Of course students probably have mixed feelings about this. Some excited, some a little nervous, and maybe some not quite sure how to feel at all. However, one thing remains true: children definitely understand the importance of this step, and what it means for the future of education.

That's a pretty heavy weight to carry. I don't know about you, but I would love to hear what they have to say on the matter. Luckily, I've stumbled across this New York Times article containing the opinions of a few kids across the country who are going back to school for the first time.

My personal favorite is a young Chicago kindergartner who was so excited she woke up at 2:30 a.m. to make breakfast for her family. Unfortunately, it was cereal, and it was just a bit soggy by the time mom and dad got up. I have to be honest, that sounds exactly like something I would have done when I was younger. Except, it was on Christmas morning or my birthday...never to go back to school! Different times, though.

A communication plan is important to ensure students feel safe and welcome when getting back to campus. Specifically, a mobile-first communication plan, to ensure we reach our students and parents in the best way possible.
