We’ve Enhanced Security on Our Conversations Feature

It’s here! As promised, we have implemented an enhanced validation system that will allow dashboard administrators to have more control over self-registered app users.

Dashboard administrators now have the ability to add and edit which roles are allowed to self-register and are given the option to require validation for those selected roles. Once the ‘require validation’ option is checked, there are now two validation options: email validation and admin verification.

Email verification allows the specification of email domains you want to validate, such as ‘anyemaildomain.com’, whereas admin verification requires an administrator to manually approve each self-registered user. If admin verification is selected, administrators receive a notification when new people are waiting verification. We have also provided an optional checkbox for ‘login only after verification’ which if enabled, the user cannot login without being verified.

Finally, if a self-registered user initiates a Conversation, the recipient will receive a system message stating:

'This Conversation was initiated by a self-registered account. Please use caution before sharing sensitive information, clicking any links provided or sending money.'
