Published by [Scarlet Jaworski](https://blog.schoolinfoapp.com/blog/author/scarlet-jaworski) on Feb 17, 2022 11:15:00 AM We’re back with the Promote Your App series to offer you another creative way to encourage your community to download your school's app! So far we have suggested providing incentives to individuals who download your branded mobile app by giving away [school swag](https://blog.schoolinfoapp.com/blog/spirit-day-surprise-0-0), offering [bonus points](https://blog.schoolinfoapp.com/blog/spirit-day-surprise-0-0-0-0) to students, and surprising only app users with a [spirit day](https://blog.schoolinfoapp.com/blog/spirit-day-surprise). But how about a good old-fashioned giveaway? Like we said before, people LOVE free stuff. With a giveaway, you're able to offer a bigger prize to only one or a few participants.  It's simple to organize too! After choosing a prize, announce the giveaway to the community. Anyone who submits proof that they have the app downloaded will be entered in the chance to win the announced prize. The only planning you will need to do is to secure the giveaway prize, schedule when the giveaway will be announced, and decide where individuals can send their proof they have downloaded the app.   This could be open to only new app users or to people who have already had the app downloaded, that's up to you! What would be great about this promotion is that it is open to anyone in your community. Students, their families, and even teachers can be entered into this giveaway if they submit proof of having the app downloaded.  You can choose any prize that you think will best motivate your community to download the app. It can be tangible or not, something you already own, or something you purchase.  Here are some examples of what you can offer as the giveaway prize:  - Gift card to a local restaurant or store. You may even be able to convince a business owner to donate this for a good cause! - Tickets to the opening night of your school’s play - Tickets to a school sporting event - Gift basket full of school swag - Principal for the Day Don't have an app to promote? Schedule a demo today to learn how you can simplify your school-to-home communication!  [![Request a meeting](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/8667675/d06d59a6-5efc-45fb-935c-b7241df77928.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/8667675/d06d59a6-5efc-45fb-935c-b7241df77928) Tags: [Promote Your App](https://blog.schoolinfoapp.com/blog/tag/promote-your-app) [Back to Blog](https://blog.schoolinfoapp.com/blog) ## Related Articles ## [Promote Your App: Swag](https://blog.schoolinfoapp.com/blog/spirit-day-surprise-0-0) In the Promote Your App series, we'll be taking a look at a few different ways schools and...
